Old Lake offers fantastic sights in autumn-winter period all those people who like nature which make this lake world-famous deservedly.The Old Lake is the only resting place for birds in Europe which is sorrounded by a town. This sight is the water birds’, especially the wild gooses’ autumn-winter processing. A lot of people who like nature makes a long jernay to see this sight. This is not a loud festival, not a cavalcade of concerts and fair, but a holiday, a real festival in its way. This is a kind of festival where a few thousands of gooses provide for the sight and feeling, and the guests are people.


Wild Goose Crowd in Tata is the most prestigious emulator for Hungarian bird observers.  Even as Hortobágy at the end of summer, Tata gives home in november cold all those adult and junior fowlers who braved the battle of weather match their knowledge and dusance in an all-day bird observer competitive.

Big Fishing in Old Lake

21st-23rd October 2011

This event is unique in Hungary, this is a spectacular fishing (400 meter trawl enclosure) with cultural and amusing program. Beside the propagation of fishing profession, frames natural and enveronmetntal knowledge in connection with Old Lake.A fair waits for visitors where localism and the hole country’s fish gastronomy is displaied by fish foods.

A speciel sight at the event is a fishing hovel made by reed at the lake bed which shows the mood of the begenning of 20th century and was a trait of Old Lake fishermen.

Ice – Music – Frost-work Festival

January 2012

The summer Water – Music – Flower Festival’s winter variation, the Ice – Music –
Frost-work Festival is very popular. The event does not have a fix date but it needs ice certainly. Ice skates lake circuitous competition, amateurish ice hockey cup, ice skates and ski flea market waits for the enquirers.

19th-20th June 2012

Folk dancers, taletellers and folk crafts introduce themselves in the crowd held in beautiful English Park and surroundings. Organizers wait for everybody with folk food and a lot of interesting programs.




Water-Music-Flower Festival

29th June – 01st July 2012

The festival is held a different premises weltered, conventional, multiple program series held in last weekend of June every year. Water programs, wine garden, handicraft fair, fine arts and flower exhibitions, child amusements and amusement park waits for guests.

Porcinkula

Porcinkula in Tata attract more and more visitors to the settlement every year. The fair waits for visitors with a lot of programs, for example dance shows, pop concerts. The fair is held at the first Sunday of August in Tata castle garden and surroundings.
